'Contemporary Totem describes the phenomenon of desiring inorganic objects. The fascination for the perfect, the god-like that has never been created. While searching for the inner origin and soul, human beings have always projected this obsession into objects. The totem became the connection to the bottom of the inner self. Utopias have disappeared, people are disillusionated and looking for identification. This perfection can be found in the dead object that is also connected with magic skills and regarded as symbol for a fulfilled life. Talking about the collection, the aim was to create complete objects that might be seen as independent totems. The single piece stands above the overall collection.
